When you do need to go custom, the MIB browser is built into the product. Domotz discovers which MIBs each device exposes, lets you walk the OID tree from inside the platform, and lets you save custom checks as reusable templates. No external MIB tool, no separate compilation step.
All three SNMP versions work, including v3 with authentication and encryption. During discovery Domotz tries default community strings automatically to classify devices, which cuts down on manual setup. v3 credentials are configurable per device or per template.
